Welcome to CARE

Community Advocacy and Resource Education (CARE)

CARE at ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ aims to serve the whole student! We are here to empower any current, prospective, or returning student through on campus and community resource navigation addressing basic need insecurities. We help students access food, healthcare, childcare, housing, transportation, and more. Come visit us during our drop in hours to learn about how we can best support you.

Basic Needs Oregon logo

Basic Needs insecurity affects nearly half of Oregon college students. Basic needs insecurity is defined as lacking access to essential resources such as food, housing, child care, transportation, technology, mental health services, and more (ECMC Foundation, n.d.) These challenges disproportionately impact low-income students, rural, first-generation, students with disabilities, and parenting students. Basic Needs Oregon aims to close opportunity gaps for low-income college students by connecting them to essential resources. If you would like to learn more about the impact of this statewide initiative, please see our midterm report
