Pursue a college certificate while you're in high school.
If you're earning college credit from ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ in courses at your school through College Now, they may apply to ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½'s Career Pathway Certificates, like Basic Health Care, Teacher Aide 1, Shielded Metal Arc Welding or Office Software Specialist. Such certificates can take less than a year to earn. You might be earning credits toward a certification of completion and don't even know it! Your school counselor can advise you about how you can get started before high school graduation pursuing a certificate that could give you a leg up for entry-level employment AND many of these courses are already embedded in ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½'s degrees and programs.
The number of credits accepted by other institutions is determined by which programs they have and how many transfer and elective credits they accept. Even if the other institutions accept the credits, the credits may not be equivalent to the courses required for your program.
It is important to check with their Admissions Office/Academic Advisor to see if any articulation agreements(link is external) exist. Be sure to also use their transfer equivalency tool to determine how credits will or will not transfer.
Note: High School Connections is not a High School Completion program. Our advisor will help you enroll in ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ and will give you suggestions on what may count as a high school credit, but it is your responsibility to confirm with your high school on what college classes count as high school credit.

Check your Transcript!
We highly recommend you check your unofficial transcript in myÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ after the end of each term to make sure your College Now courses are showing.
How to Check Your ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ CC Transcript
Step 1: Type in your L Number and password.
Step 2: Click on Enrollment and Student Financial Services.
Step 3: Click on Student Records.
Step 4: Click on Unofficial Academic Transcript and hit Submit. Leave the sections on "All Levels" and "Unofficial Transcript".
Step 5: Check grades! Make sure you see your class and the right grade, check after every term!
If I repeat a College Now course, will both grades be on my transcript?
If you earn a higher grade on the repeated course, you can Petition to Absolve the lower grade. The class and original grade stays on the transcript, but the grade is removed from your overall GPA. You can do this petition even if you repeat the course after high school graduation.
You will see an ‘E’ next to the lower grade which means the grade was removed from your cumulative GPA. You will see an ‘I’ next to the higher grade which means that grade is included in your cumulative GPA.
If you don’t submit the Petition to Absolve, then yes both grades will be on the transcript and calculated in your overall ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ GPA.
What's the benefit?
You will benefit by having a higher GPA for financial aid, scholarships, and employers.
*Note: This is strictly a ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ policy and other colleges/universities may not accept the removal of a lower grade. If they do not accept this policy, the lower grade will be calculated back into your overall GPA. Contact your intended college/university Registrar to find out.

- As soon as grades appear on your unofficial transcript (available in myÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½) you can request an official transcript. Be sure to submit your ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ transcript with all college applications.

What Is the Difference Between College Now, AP, and IB courses?
In many high schools, students have the option of taking AP or IB classes. College Now courses gives them another option for college credit, and a getting a jump start on their college careers! The chart below explains the difference between these programs. In some cases, students can take a combination of College Now and AP or IB.
