Oregon Promise

What is the Oregon Promise Grant?

The Oregon Promise is a state grant that helps cover tuition costs at any Oregon community college for recent high school graduates and GED recipients.

Eligibility Requirements 

  • Submit the FAFSA and Oregon Promise applications before the Oregon Promise deadline
  • Be an Oregon high school graduate or GED recipient in 2025
  • Have a 2.0 cumulative high school GPA or higher; or a 145 grade on all GED tests
  • Enroll at least half-time at an Oregon community college within 6 months of high school graduation or GED completion
  • Be an Oregon resident for at least 12 months prior to enrolling in community college
  • Have less than 90 college attempted credits  (this includes college credits taken while in high school)
