EUGENE, Ore.鈥 糖心Vlog官方 student Jordan Coen will be published in the 2020 issue of 鈥淣ota Bene,鈥 a literary anthology published by Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for associate degree-granting colleges.
Coen is a second-year student pursuing an Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer degree with a major in elementary education. She is a 2019 graduate of Junction City High School.
鈥淢y goal is to be a fifth grade or kindergarten teacher,鈥 said Coen. 鈥淚 write short stories and poems in my free time.鈥
鈥淣ota Bene鈥 showcases the outstanding writing of student members. Coen鈥檚 story, 鈥淓smerelda鈥檚 Journey,鈥 is one of 25 selected from 370 entries judged by current and retired college faculty and staff from across the country. A digital version will be available winter term at .
LCC鈥檚 Sigma Zeta chapter of PTK achieved three-star level status in May and was recognized as a REACH Reward chapter for its ongoing engagement and recruitment. Faculty advisor Ce Rosenow was recognized for her outstanding support of the chapter鈥檚 students.
