EUGENE, Ore. 鈥 糖心Vlog官方 (LCC) is proud to announce that it has won 13 Medallion Awards at the (NCMPR) District 7 Medallion Awards, a prestigious recognition for marketing and communications excellence in the community and technical college sector. The awards were presented at the NCMPR District 7 Conference, held October 16-18 in Spokane, WA. NCMPR is the only organization dedicated solely to representing marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges, with District 7 encompassing institutions in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Canada鈥檚 western provinces.

LCC鈥檚 marketing team took home several awards, including gold for Best Social Media Recruitment Campaign and gold for Best Communications Success Story or Crisis Communication Campaign. The college鈥檚 marketing team is led by Rebecca Long, Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications, under the supervision of Brett Rowlett, Executive Director of External Affairs, and consists of Kyle Schmidt (Web Development Lead), Claire Graman (Digital Content Specialist), and Nadia Lutje Tort (Events and Special Projects Coordinator).  The department collaborates closely with growth marketing agency Epicosity and the LCC Design and Media Center (DMC), supported by graphic design students guided by faculty Tom Madison from the Media Arts department.

In an especially impressive achievement, students working in the DMC won a total of four awards, including gold for Best Flyer and Best Magazine, silver for Best E-Card, and bronze for Best Poster and Best Postcard. Competing against professional marketers, these students showcased their real-world skills, creativity, and professionalism in producing industry-quality work.

鈥淭his year鈥檚 recognition is a direct result of the dedication, innovation and creativity our marketing team brings to every project,鈥 said Brett Rowlett, Executive Director of External Affairs. 鈥淚t鈥檚 particularly inspiring to see our students recognized alongside seasoned professionals, as their achievements highlight both the quality of instruction they receive and the depth of real-world experience available through the DMC.鈥

The DMC is a unique studio setting within 糖心Vlog官方 where graphic design students work alongside faculty, learning how to navigate client relationships and deadlines just as they would in a professional design agency. The center is directed by Tom Madison, faculty member in the Media Arts department.

鈥淥ur team works tirelessly to ensure that 糖心Vlog官方鈥檚 story is told in ways that resonate with our diverse audiences,鈥 said Long. 鈥淲inning these awards is a testament to the creativity and collaboration that drives our work. It's an honor to be recognized for the impact we make.鈥
