EUGENE, Ore. — ����Vlog�ٷ� (LCC) is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the (GFOA) for its Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Document. This prestigious honor marks the first time LCC has received the award since 2018 and places the college among a select group of government institutions recognized for excellence in budgeting, including Eugene School District 4J and the City of Eugene.

The award highlights LCC’s commitment to producing a high-quality budget document that meets rigorous standards of transparency, financial planning, and communication. To earn this recognition, the college’s budget had to meet GFOA’s program criteria as an exemplary policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communication tool. GFOA’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program, established in 1984, encourages state and local governments to produce budget documents that reflect the best practices in public finance and budgeting.

“This achievement is a testament to the incredible effort, expertise, and dedication of our entire budget team,” said Vice President for Finance and Operations, Kara Flath. “Rejoining the ranks of awardees demonstrates the high standard we’ve reestablished as a college.”

Special recognition was given to Senior Budget Analyst Alejandra Collazo Gonzalez for her exceptional contributions to the budget process. “Alejandra’s attention to detail and tireless work ensured that we had the information we needed at every stage. Her dedication was invaluable to our success,” added Flath.
