EUGENE, Ore. — Join us for an exciting lineup of winter concerts showcasing the incredible musical talent at ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½! These performances will feature a variety of ensembles, guest artists, and an array of musical styles, providing a wonderful opportunity to support student musicians while enjoying live music.
Concert Schedule:
- March 7 – ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Choirs with special guests: Springfield High School Concert Chorale
- March 12 – Jazz Combos
- March 13 – Symphonic Band
- March 14 – Jazz Ensemble with the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Jazz Faculty and Friends
Time & Location:
Each concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Ragozzino Hall, Building 6, ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ (4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene).
Admission:
Entry is by donation (suggested contribution: $5-$10). All proceeds go toward music scholarships for students at ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½.
About the Ensembles:
- ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Chamber Choir – A select vocal ensemble specializing in a cappella choral music from the Medieval period to the present. The group collaborates with guest artists and participates in tours and special performances.
- ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Concert Choir – A large ensemble that performs a variety of musical styles, including world music, folk songs, and pop standards. Open to all students interested in developing their vocal skills.
- ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Jazz Ensemble – One of the region’s premier instrumental ensembles, performing throughout the academic year. The group frequently programs historically significant repertoire alongside contemporary jazz compositions.
- ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Jazz Combos – Small jazz groups where students study improvisation, ensemble performance, and jazz styles. Students are placed in groups based on skill level and experience.
- ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Symphonic Band – A dynamic ensemble open to students and community members, offering an opportunity to study and perform outstanding band literature for woodwinds, brass, and percussion.
