ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ is celebrating Earth Week 2025 with a lineup of hands-on, sustainability-focused events aimed at engaging students, employees, and the community in climate action, resource conservation, and environmental stewardship.

From planting native species to promoting sustainable fashion, Earth Week at ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ reflects the college’s deep commitment to reducing its environmental impact and fostering a culture of sustainability. Events include:

  • Monday, April 21, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. – Tree and native plant installation (south of Building 30)
  • Tuesday, April 22, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. – Plastics recycling drop-off for #2, #4, and #5 plastics (Building 10)
  • Wednesday, April 23, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. – Gardening and free food at the Learning Garden
  • Thursday, April 24, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. – Clothing Swap at Haugland Commons (Center Building), promoting sustainable fashion

To support the Clothing Swap, ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ is accepting donations of clean, gently used clothing at the Titan Pantry & Closet (Center Building, Room 153) between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., now through April 24.

This week of action coincides with ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½â€™s recent selection as a finalist for the 2025 EWEB Greenpower Grant. If awarded, the $50,000 grant will help fund a new rooftop solar array on the college’s Health and Wellness Building and launch an online solar monitoring platform for educational use. The project is a key part of ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½â€™s Climate Action Plan and goal to become carbon neutral by 2050.

Community support is essential in helping ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ secure the grant. EWEB Greenpower subscribers can cast their vote by April 30 to help bring this clean energy project to life. To subscribe and vote, visit:
